Gerina Gaffney

Gerina Gaffney, AICI, CIP, CPCC is a certified image professional with over 20 years experience in dressing men and women and teaching them to communicate who they are and what they want.  She is also a certified coach who, for the past 7 years, has been coaching and training image consultants on creating meaningful businesses.   

Since 2000 Gerina has coached and conducted workshops at the annual AICI Conferences and at the San Francisco, NY Tri-state, New England and Southern California chapters.  She continues her image consulting practice using a holistic approach of dressing body, mind and spirit. She also works with clients on creating harmonious environments and coaches executives and entrepreneurs in having fulfilling lives and work.

Laura Howard

Laura Howard, CPCC is a certified business and personal coach who has worked with 100s of small and individual business owners around the world to grow their business with more passion, purpose and profit. By combining 20 years of strategic marketing, management, retail and small business experience with coaching, Laura helps coaches, consultants, and other independent professionals effortlessly expand their businesses by leveraging their natural talents and strengths to create a business they enjoy.

Laura loves working with entrepreneurs who want to enjoy success in their whole life – in business AND everyday living. Lessons and Learning Outcomes

Through learning, application and action, you undertake a journey through self-exploration and discovery that leads to more strategic and tactical business development as well as personal development. At the program’s completion, you will take away the following Lessons and Learning Outcomes:

Lesson 1: Building Vision, Faith and Commitment With Passion, Values and Purpose

Outcomes:

  • Identify your passions within your business and life
  • Define your values and purpose
  • Discuss how those personal attributes relate to the vision and subsequent growth of your business
  • Identify the success patterns of how Passion, Values and Purpose fuel your business

Lesson 2: Building Vision, Faith and Commitment With The Vision Story

Outcomes:

  • Understand the power and pull of vision
  • Define individual fulfillment, sustainability and success
  • Write a first cut of a vision story based on passion, values and purpose
  • Share the vision story with an accountability partner and the program group
  • Commit to one practice that will keep your vision alive and in use on a daily basis

Lesson 3: Utilizing Your Strengths

Outcomes:

  • Describe the importance of utilizing your strengths
  • Assess your overall strengths personally and professionally with strength identification exercises
  • Create a list of 5-7 signature strengths and begin to leverage them immediately with “start, stop and continue” actions
  • Write strengths into your vision story

Lesson 4: Creating Your Niche

Outcomes:

  • Define one clear niche for targeting your marketing efforts
  • Draft a niche statement and incorporate the niche into your vision
  • Create an ideal client profile

Lesson 5: Beliefs

Outcomes:

  • Practice how to transform limiting beliefs into empowering ones
  • Define and transform your core limiting belief blocking the growth of your business
  • Prepare and post new empowering beliefs to use on a daily basis
  • Revise and rewrite your vision story based on new empowering beliefs

Lesson 6: Commitment to Vision

Outcomes:

  • Write the final draft of your vision story
  • Present a formal commitment to your vision by sharing with a least one business colleagues and/or mentor
  • Discuss the power of a clear and compelling vision story by reviewing other participants’ vision stories

Lesson 7: Planning and Follow-Through

Outcomes:

  • Discuss the critical importance of scheduling dedicated time for planning
  • Create a Living (evolving) Business Plan with written goals
  • Commit to a schedule for planning, review and vision alignment.

Lesson 8: Planning and Follow-Through: Goals

Outcomes:

  • Identify the three Myths of Inflexibility regarding goals
  • Create SMART goals based on your milestone intentions from your Vision Timeline
  • Finalize your Vision Story complete with business goals

Lesson 9: Engaging Risk and Reality

Outcomes:

  • Assess current risks, reality and obstacles to your business and evaluate the probability of success
  • Illustrate how to use your plan as a dynamic tool for navigating towards your vision
  • Identify the common obstacles of entrepreneurs and know what to do about them
  • Create a financial plan

Lesson 10: Partnering

Outcomes:

  • Describe how partnering is critical to your work and business
  • Identify the three major forms of partnering and how to apply them.
  • Apply the Entrevis Partnering Model to at least three potential partnering opportunities.
  • Identify where you can be a resource to others

Lesson 11: Alignment

Outcomes:

  • Create internal and external alignment of your business plan
  • Illustrate alignment by reviewing goals and assessing they are realistic, achievable and aligned with your vision
  • Categorize your goals according to the likelihood of achievability
  • Identify how and to whom you will be accountable
  • Have another person review your plan and hold you accountable as you move into action

Lesson 12: Negotiating

Outcomes:

  • Define a clear value proposition that is worded in your prospective client’s terms
  • Develop the questions to ask prospective clients to uncover their needs and opportunities for presenting your value proposition
  • Discuss the three basic concepts common in conducting all negotiations
  • Review and set your pricing and/or fees
  • Identify any limiting beliefs or emotions you have around money and relationships and apply the beliefs skills to eliminate obstacles

Lesson 13: Integration

Outcomes:

  • Discuss the application of the 7 Entrepreneurial Success Skills and the impact on your business
  • Review and rewrite Vision Story and final goals
  • Prepare Vision Story and Living Business plan in a final form and present to the group

A pilot to A Better Way To Work™ was delivered to 15 brokers at a large Midwest brokerage house. By program’s end, the brokers increased assets under management 50% from $78.4 million to $117.9 million, an average increase of $2.6 million per person!

Following the program, coaches in business less than 6 months experienced a 154% average increase in revenue while coaches in business over 6 months achieved an average increase of 57%
